Martina's Beautiful New Single, "I Just Call You Mine," Chosen as the Event's Official Wedding Song
June 3, 2009 (Nashville, TN) - Multi-platinum recording artist Martina McBride has enjoyed her own happy marriage for more than 20 years, and she'll help one lucky couple celebrate the beginning of their lives together when she performs at the wedding reception for the winner of the NBC Today show's 10th annual Today Throws a Wedding event.
The news of the performance was revealed this morning on Today, in a segment that profiled the final four couples in the running to share their wedding day with the nation on July 15th. In addition to Martina singing her beautiful new single, "I Just Call You Mine," as part of her performance, "I Just Call You Mine" is also the official wedding song being used throughout the three-month promotion for Today Throws a Wedding.
"I Just Call You Mine" is the second single from Martina's chart-topping new album, Shine, which also features her recent smash, "Ride."
McBride's powerhouse vocals have earned her more than 18 million in album sales, garnered 23 Top 10 singles, six of which ranked number one, and awarded her a mantle of honors, including a record-tying four CMA Female Vocalist of the Year trophies. The Kansas native's fiery, passionate vocals have created such signature hits as "Independence Day," "Wild Angels," "A Broken Wing," "Blessed" and "This One's for the Girls."
