Numbers, Jason Michael Carroll, Cracker Barrel Jason Michael Carroll is back again with new tunes releasing in the Cracker Barrel stores now. The musical release at the Country restaurant & store is sentimental for Jason, since it was the place he began when starting out as a new artist.
The first track "This Is For The Lonely," is a soulful ballad speaking out to people everywhere who are feeling alone. He gives examples of situations where people may be feeling lonely.
"Numbers" is the title track of the album & his new single which has a catchy way of listing off number after number of different life moments. Hearing it the first time you can't wait to memorize them all and sing your heart out. Similar to Chris Young's "Voices" this song is one that applies to everyone.
JMC slows it down a bit in the honest and soulful song "Ray of Hope". He's calling out to God for hope in a time he's feeling alone. We all have those times we feel alone. Deep down we know we're not and are truly grateful for everything we've been given. It's those nights that you bow your head and just pray for a "Ray Of Hope"
The five words most Country boys want to hear- "Meet Me in the Barn". The banjo immediately brings you to your feet and makes you start to sway. The first verse gives you an idea of what's coming in the chorus. A good summertime song you want to crank up loud. The bridge introduces an airy voiced female asking the Country boy to meet her in the barn.

"Can I Get An Amen" is an anthem for Country folks. The gospel choir contributing background vocals in the chorus makes you want to belt out right along with them.
"My Favorite" is the first love song on the album. This song was made to be a wedding song. The perfect tempo for a slow dance and lyrics that will melt the hearts of all women. A bit generic but nonetheless, this song will be heard at wedding receptions for years to come.
"Don't Know Why I Don't" is another, faster paced love song. Another story of a man who can't express his emotion. He realizes as he's driving around that he should be rushing back to her and telling her how he truly feels.
"Let Me" has a catchy, unique melody that makes you take immediate notice. This love song is another that includes words all women want to hear.
The final is track is a re-recording of Jason's hit song found on his first album entitled "Alyssa Lies". The story of a daughter telling her father about a girl she met at school who is showing signs of child abuse.
Overall the CD Numbers is a compilation of songs about everyday life experiences, including “Alyssa Lies,” which reached #5 on the Billboard Country Chart from Carroll’s 2007 album, and the album titleed song “Numbers,” was written by Patrick Davis and Rodney Clawson. “Most numbers mean absolutely nothing,” says Carroll, “but some of them, like the date you meet the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with, mean everything.” Cracker Barrel and Carroll collaborated with the Quarterback Records radio team, GrassRoots and country radio nationwide to debut the song as a single this past April. The Numbers CD debuts today exclusively at all Cracker Barrel Old Country Store locations and online at crackerbarrel.com.
The album starts of with a theme of loneliness and alternates from slower ballads to more uptempo, rockin' songs. Only occasionally do you here JMC sneak in those low notes he was originally known for. It also seemed like there weren't going to be any love songs, the more you listen, you find they comprise the second half of the album. In "Stray" and "Last Word" Jason Michael is all talk and no action. Her sings of his love leaving him and the lyrics would suggest he doesn't want to see her go. However, he does nothing to stop her.
