Sources everywhere are confirming that today is the big day for Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher.
The couple is set to marry at 5pm in Georgia today with a ceremony that reports say will cost more than a half a million dollars.
Yesterday, Friday (July 9), was the rehearsal dinner and acccording to E! Online, that dinner was prepared by a chef that Carrie and Mike flew in for the night and ended with a fantastic fireworks display.
The ceremony will be at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, in Greensboro, Ga., and the couple booked the entire hotel totaling $268,000 for the night, reports The Herald Journal in Greensboro.
Carrie and Mike will reportedly spend their first night as husband and wife in the Presidential House, which costs $4,000 a night. It is a 5,400 square-foot suite that comes with two king-size rooms and two double bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, terrace with access to the recreation room, private pool, living room and dining room which seats 16 people.
Local Georgia papers confirm that security is in full force and more than 250 rooms are rented out for celebrity guests including Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Kellie Pickler and members of Mike’s team the Ottawa Senators. E Online is also reporting that the road to the hotel will be closed to nonwedding traffic today.
