It is with the deepest sadness we say goodbye to an extraordinary and gifted talent, a daughter, a mother and friend, Miss Mindy McCready.
Our attention at this time is devoted to the needs and care of Mindy's family. As Mindy spent much of her life in the public eye, we respectfully request your consideration and sensitivity to enable friends and family this time of "quiet."
To complement formal family arrangements, preliminary plans are being made by Mindy's "friends in music" to organize a memorial in Nashville in the coming days. We will pass along updates and information surrounding details, as they are officiated by both family and friends.
Mindy McCready also recorded a parting song which was originally thought to be meant for her boyfriend, David Wilson, also lost to suicide. The song was written by Courtney Dashe but produced by David. The video was given to her trusted friend before the singer also ended her life. Get ready to use lots of Kleenex...The video ends with a suicide prevention hotline.

Such a tragic loss! I am concerned that our society globally has become so absorbed and consumed with self-centered motives and successes and are failing to identify and reach out like we are supposed to support and help those tittering on self-destruction? The loss of Mindy McCready such an incredible, talented, and gifted artist that possibly could have been avoided if someone would have just went the extra mile and time to intervene and provided support and a sense of hope for her destiny? I understand some situations are hopeless and individual's simply do not want help or a rationale solution, but simply are losing too many artists to self-destructive behaviors and acts such as suicide! My prayers, thoughts, and hearts go out to family and friends in another horrible tragic loss!
